Manual Works comprises three short pieces for box organ and four-channel live electronics. Each piece is inspired by the English virginalist school: the first is based on Orlando Gibbons’ Fantasia of Four Parts, the second alludes to hexachordal ‘ut, re, me, sol, fa, la’ pieces by John Bull, William Byrd, Thomas Tompkins, and others, and the third is a set of variations on the tune ‘O Mistress Mine’.
